About Macedonia Lake ..............Dreams do come true 

  I have a good friend named Joe Spearman whom I’ve known for over 25 years.  Imagine my pleasure to learn that he had moved into a home on Macedonia Road, just down the road from me.

  Across the road from Joe’s new home was a 125 acre property known as the “Jones Farm”.  It was ½ mile from Winfield Cove which I was developing, and I had my eye on it as the last acreage tract in my neighborhood that was available, and suitable for large lot development.

  Joe looked at it, and he saw lake.  He had always wanted to live on a small private lake, and he has made his dream come true.  He asked me to lay it out for him, and sell it over the next several years (he’s in no hurry)

       The result of Joes efforts is a 7+ acre private lake with 20 large lots on the lake, and on the hills surrounding it.  The lake is also shared by 8 neighbors who were lucky enough to have property that Joe needed to design his development.  There are a total of 11 lake front lots, and the rest of the members will access the lake from a common area near the dam.

  Roads are paved, and utilities are installed underground.  Three fine homes have been completed, and two more (including Joe’s at the head of the lake)  will be completed soon. 

Joe has converted the barn on the property to a rustic guest house, and has constructed a building for entertaining adjacent to it.

  In 2007 Joe asked me to sell lots, and now there are only two developer lots, and one resale available. See Lots & Acreage above.

  Covenants and Restrictions call for residential use only with a 1500 sq ft minimum, natural exteriors. Well and septic are required on all lots.
